It is the intent of Global International Development, Inc. to have the highest regard for employee safety and to provide a safe work environment. To this end, the Safety Program is aggressive and is driven by a goal to achieve a "Zero" accident rate. The Safety Manual guides the Safety Program, which addresses all construction Industry requirements as mandated by OSHA and other entities. Additionally, as part of the Safety Manual, Field Superintendent Safety Directives focus field personnel on safe methods for all phases of construction to completion.
Field Superintendents receive ongoing safety training to accomplish safe work practices at the sites. Strict enforcement of personal protective devices and safe work practices is the standard of operation at all sites. Safety audits are routinely conducted at the Projects by the safety Program Administrator to ensure that all Safety Program objectives are enforced, and met. All operations comply with Federal, State, and local safety, health, and environmental statutes that may be applicable.
Safety is the functional responsibility of all employees. It is the supervisor's obligation to direct employees to work safely and ensure that company safety policies and procedures are maintained. The Project Manager or Field Superintendent is responsible for total job safety, including subcontractor's activities at the job sites.
The Safety Program at Global International Development, Inc. is functional, energetic, and effective.
